My coworker E pointed out this very weird Amtrak policy to me. Apparently, when the clocks change from Daylight Savings Time back to normal time ("Lousy Farmers"), and everyone gains an hour, Amtrak trains everywhere just... stop. For a whole hour. You'd think they'd at least pull up to the next station so people can, I don't know, NOT BE STUCK IN A FRICKIN' TRAIN FOR A WHOLE FRICKIN' HOUR FOR NO GOOD REASON. And yeah - they discuss what happens when Amtrak loses an hour. As you suspected, nothing intelligent.
